Leksikologi

Leksikologi (dari bahasa Yunani: lexiko-, "leksikon") adalah cabang ilmu linguistik yang mempelajari kata, sifat dan makna, unsur, hubungan antarkata (semantis), kelompok kata, serta keseluruhan leksikon. Ilmu ini terkait erat dengan leksikografi yang juga mempelajari kata, terutama dalam kaitannya dengan penyusunan kamus. Secara sederhana, leksikografi disebut sebagai penerapan praktis dari leksikologi.

               Lexicology ( from the Greek : lexiko- , " lexicon " ) is the branch of linguistics that studies word, the nature and meaning , the elements , the relationship between words ( semantic ) , group of words , as well as the whole lexicon . This science is closely related to lexicography is also studying the word , especially in relation to the preparation of dictionaries . Simply put , lexicography is referred to as the practical application of lexicology .
